Job Description
Advanced Exhaust Solutions is seeking a skilled Fabrication Trainer to support training and development within our fabrication team. This role combines hands-on fabrication work with coaching and mentoring employees to ensure consistent quality, safety, and production standards.

Available Shifts
- 1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
• This position is eligible for a trainer premium in addition to the base hourly rate.
• Employees will receive a $2.00 per hour premium for all hours worked in the Fabrication Trainer role, in addition to their base hourly wage. This premium applies for the duration of time the employee is actively serving as a Trainer. If the employee is reassigned to a Fabricator position, the premium will be removed and pay will be adjusted accordingly.
Location: Northfield (relocating to Lakeville in the near future)

Job Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in fabrication operations.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, prints, and specifications.
- Strong verbal communication, coaching, and instructional skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a training, lead, or mentorship role.
- Familiarity with standardized work, lean manufacturing principles, or continuous improvement practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift materials up to company-established limits.
- Ability to safely operate fabrication equipment and tools
Roles & Responsibilites
Training & Development (Primary Responsibility)
• Train new hires and cross-training employees on fabrication processes, equipment, tools, and standard work.
• Develop, maintain, and deliver training materials, including job instruction sheets and visual aids.
• Verify trainee competency through hands-on evaluations, skills assessments, and formal sign-offs.
• Reinforce safety procedures, quality expectations, and productivity standards.
• Coach employees on best practices, troubleshooting techniques, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to ensure training aligns with current requirements and standards.
Production Support (Secondary Responsibility)
• Perform fabrication operations in accordance with standard production expectations when not actively training.
• Support production throughput and schedule adherence during periods of high demand or staffing shortages.
• Follow all established safety, quality, and production standards while performing direct labor.
• Serve as a fabrication technical resource and subject matter expert on the production floor.
