Advanced Exhaust Solutions is a leader in industrial manufacturing, specializing in engineered acoustic engine exhaust silencers and custom metal fabrication. We support customers across industrial and engine-driven equipment markets with a focus on quality, practical engineering, and long-term customer relationships.

We are seeking a results-driven person to support continued growth through new business development and expansion of existing customer relationships.

Position Overview:

The Outside Salesperson is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and expanding AES’s presence in target markets. This role requires frequent travel and direct engagement with customers, including OEMs, enclosure manufacturers, and other industrial clients.

The ideal candidate combines technical aptitude with strong commercial instincts and can effectively translate customer needs into tailored AES solutions.

Compensation & Benefits:

·  Salary Range : $85,000-$95,000

· 8 hour shift

· Monday through Friday

Job Requirements

Experience:

·  Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the industrial manufacturing sector or a related field.

·  Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

·  Experience selling engineered or technical products, especially in engine exhaust systems or metal fabrication, is  preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

·  Understanding of manufacturing processes and engineered products.

·  Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.

·  Proficiency with CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales-related tools.

Sales & Negotiation Skills:

·  Strong negotiation and closing abilities.

·  Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

·  Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Organizational Skills:

·  Strong time management and ability to manage multiple accounts.

·  Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Travel Requirements:

·  Willingness to travel 50–75% for customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.

·  Candidates preferably based within the Southeast territory.

· Overnight travel expected for multi-day customer meetings and structured planning sessions.

Roles & Responsibilites

Business Development:

· Identify, target, and develop new customers within Key markets such as OEMs, enclosure manufacturers, marine, and  industrial clients.

· Generate new opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry engagement.

· Expand existing accounts by identifying cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

Customer Relationship Management:

· Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers at new and existing clients.

· Conduct regular meetings with clients to understand needs, present solutions, and strengthen partnerships.

· Serve as a trusted advisor by providing technical insight and ensuring that customers receive exceptional support throughout the sales process.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

· Develop and execute account strategies aligned with company growth objectives.

· Prepare and present proposals, product presentations, and quotations tailored to customer requirements.

· Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

· Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline visibility to leadership.

Market & Product Expertise:

· Maintain a strong understanding of AES products, including silencers and fabricated assemblies.

· Stay informed on industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.

· Educate customers on product capabilities, benefits, and applications.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

· Coordinate with inside sales, engineering, and operations to ensure smooth project execution.

· Clearly communicate customer requirements to ensure accurate quoting, manufacturing, and delivery.

· Partner with marketing on trade shows, campaigns, and lead generation initiatives.

Reporting & CRM Management:

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM (e.g., Salesforce).

· Track activities, customer interactions, and opportunities.

· Provide regular reports on pipeline, forecasts, and performance metrics.
